Frequent Q & A

  • What ages do you teach?

All ages are welcome to join our learn to skate class. Roller skating is actually a great family sport to get involved in because there are options for all ages.

  • What will we learn?

We have three levels that focus on different aspects of roller skating.

Beginner level focuses on safely starting and stopping, balance skills, good skating posture and building confidence.

Intermediate level focuses on starting to go backwards, transitions, entry level turns, crossovers and edges.

Advanced level focuses on more advanced skills and turns, tricks and trick combos, more advanced edge control and social skating skills.

  • Do I need my own skates?

While we do encourage you to bring your own skates, we do have rentals available if needed.

  • Do you teach inline or quad skates?

We teach both! Our coaching staff has many years of experience skating and coaching on both quads and inline skates.

  • What about safety gear? What should I bring?

We do not require students to wear safety gear. We encourage skaters to bring whatever they are comfortable in. We do not have safety gear to rent.

  • How do I know what level I am in?

The coaching staff will sort you into a level that is appropriate for your skills. While we do have levels, a student's learning curve can be unique. Our coaching staff understands this and can figure out how to help you learn while keeping you safe and comfortable.
