Learn to Skate Class

Our Learn to Skate program is now offered through Skate City Sports! Join us every Saturday from 9:15–10:00 a.m.  Our coaches, Erin Gaber, Amanda Isenburg, Natalia Wyatt and Amanda Bailey coach out of Skate City Littleton and Skate City Aurora for a fun, structured class designed to build strong skating fundamentals and confidence on wheels. Whether you’re brand new to roller skating or looking to strengthen your basic skills before progressing into artistic skating, Hockey or Speed Skating, the Learn to Skate program is a great place to start. Membership and registration are handled directly through Skate City Sports, and you can use the link below to learn more and get registered.

What You’ll Learn

Beginner Level focuses on the following skills:

  • How to safely start, stop, balance on skates, and good skating posture
  • One foot balance, cannonball, and fun games to help build confidence while rolling

Intermediate level focuses on the following skills:

  • Backward skating basics and introduction to edges
  • Crossovers, transitions, entry level turns, and beginning spins

Advanced level focuses on the following skills:

  • More advanced turns, tricks and trick combos
  • Edge control and advanced social skating skills

Who It’s For

  • Kids and adults ages 3+
  • All levels
  • Anyone who wants to learn at their own pace in a welcoming, non-competitive setting

What to Bring

  • Your own quad or inline skates (rentals available on-site if needed)
  • Helmet, knee, and wrist protection recommended (Safety equipment is not required, but we encourage students to wear what they are comfortable leaning in.  We do have extra wrist guard and helmets available.)
  • Water bottle and comfortable athletic clothing that is easy to move in.

  • $30 per skater per month
